Dr. Dubovsky

Dr. Dubovsky is Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo. His research is in the areas of intracellular signaling in mood disorders, new psychiatric therapies and systems of care, and responses to disasters of natural and human origin. He has published over 200 articles, books and book chapters on these topics, and on the management of suicide and other emergencies. He teaches medical students, residents and practitioners in multiple specialties. His practice includes primarily physicians and patients with complex and refractory disorders.

In addition to his work as a physician, Dr. Dubovsky is a firefighter and EMT with the Eggertsville Hose Company, a member of the Amherst Technical Rescue Team, and a reserve deputy with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
