Rebecca E. Reed, Ph.D., LPC, is a Clinical Supervisor – Research at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Reed earned her BS in Psychology from Boise State University, an MA in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University. She completed her clinical internship with the Providence Family Medicine Residency Program in Anchorage, Alaska, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Providence Medical Group Behavioral Health.

Dr. Reed’s research interests include understanding psychological and biological health risks associated with posttraumatic stress and adversities. Her clinical assessment and therapeutic approach have been developed from a scientist-practitioner model emphasizing holistic attributes that interact and contribute to overall well-being. As a clinician for 25 years, she has primarily worked in community mental health agencies, integrated medical clinics, and with the Marine Corps and Navy. Dr. Reed has had the fortunate experience of residing in multiple states throughout the country, including California, Texas, Idaho, Massachusetts, and currently lives in Alaska.
