Marisa Nihill, PhD

Dr. Nihill is a Prevention Scientist supporting the National Guard Program at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology from Mercer University, and both her Masters and Doctorate in Social Psychology at the University of Florida. Her previous experience includes conducting Army training research at the Ft. Benning Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences, focused on Infantry, Armor, and basic training populations. She has also led numerous studies investigating military resilience-related topics for the Army Analytics Group’s Research  Facilitation Laboratory, as well as leading quality assurance research and compliance for Washington state’s Western State Hospital, a state-run psychiatric hospital. She has experience with many different program evaluation, research, and data analytic techniques.
