Layetta Haynes, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a deep commitment to advocacy, healing, and empowerment. A graduate of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa School of Social Work and Public Health (Class of 2022), Layetta brings specialized expertise in victim advocacy, with a focus on domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual abuse. Her practice is rooted in trauma-informed care and is dedicated to creating safe, supportive environments for survivors.

With over 20 years of diverse professional experience as a U.S. military veteran, military spouse, and Department of Defense (DoD) civilian, Layetta possesses a unique understanding of the complex challenges facing service members, families, and underserved populations. Her background equips her with cultural sensitivity and a strong foundation in crisis intervention and systems navigation.

Before earning her master’s degree, Layetta completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Services in 2017, further strengthening her foundation in case management, client advocacy, and social systems. In addition to her professional credentials, she is a licensed pastor and ordained minister, actively serving her faith community through outreach and spiritual care initiatives.

Layetta’s approach to social work is holistic, integrating faith-based principles with mental health practices to promote whole-person wellness. She is passionate about bridging the gap between spirituality and psychology, advocating for comprehensive care that honors both the emotional and spiritual well-being of those she serves.

Driven by compassion and grounded in experience, Layetta continues to be a steadfast advocate for justice, healing, and hope within her community.
