Katie Hurley (she/her) received her B.S. in Global Health and Psychology from Duke University in 2020 and is currently a second-year counseling psychology doctoral student at UT Austin. As an Army Veteran, Katie’s main research interests include Soldier and Veteran suicidality, help-seeking behavior, and mental health. More broadly, she is interested in the social determinants of U.S. health disparities and suicidality. In addition to her work with HJF, Katie works as a Graduate Assistant for UT Austin’s Longhorn Wellness Center, creating mindfulness programming for students, staff, and faculty.
