Brelynne is currently a doctoral candidate within the Counseling Psychology Doctoral Program at Texas Tech University where he received his MA in Counseling Psychology in Spring of 2024. His research focuses on the training of mental health providers with an emphasis on cultural factors, addressing the complex intersections of culture, beliefs, and mental health. Brelynne is a commissioned officer under the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) with the USAF where he aspires to serve as an active-duty military psychologist following graduation from his graduate program. As a therapist, Brelynne utilizes a client-centered CBT approach integrating evidence-based strategies, such as DBT skills training, to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
