Amanda B. Milochik, MHA, PMP

Amanda Milochik has over two decades of experience in federally funded research award management, driving initiatives that enhance the mental and physical health of service members, veterans, and their families. Her work bridges federal policy, clinical research, and real-world implementation—ensuring that scientific discovery translates into tangible benefits for those who have served.

Most recently, Amanda served as Associate Director of the Externally Funded Research Program at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Cooperative Studies Program Coordinating Center–Perry Point. In this role, she led a team responsible for executing complex, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-site clinical trials focused on infectious diseases and substance use disorders. These projects were funded by the NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases—under the global STRIVE research network—and the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

Previously, Amanda spent 17 years with the Henry M. Jackson Foundation supporting the Uniformed Services University’s Center for Deployment Psychology. As Chief of Resource Management, she oversaw more than $35 million in operational and research programs aimed at supporting the psychological health and readiness of military personnel and their families.

Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Her early work in federal policy at the American Psychological Association laid the groundwork for a career focused on ensuring that research and policy meaningfully impact behavioral health care delivery.

Outside of work, Amanda is an avid traveler and scuba diver. She is also an active advocate and volunteer for the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, representing the family caregiver community in public education and research engagement.
