Sammy is a Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2018 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in History. During her time as an undergraduate at UNC-CH, Sammy worked with Dr. Buzinski in his Social Psychology lab where she conducted research on goal commitment. She also worked at the Center for Developmental Science (CDS) on research related to a variety of topics, including substance use among young adults and gratitude in children. At CSTS, Sammy hopes to develop her understanding of traumatic stress and, more generally, the fundamentals of research.
