Katie is a Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress. She graduated from the Catholic University of America (CUA) in May 2018 with a BA in Psychology and minors in Theology and Philosophy. During her time at CUA, Katie was an active member of Dr. David Jobes’ Suicide Prevention Lab, where she worked on various projects related to the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS). In addition, as an undergraduate she served as a research intern at the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (RAINN), where she worked with data collected from both civilian and military sexual assault hotlines. Through her position at CSTS, Katie hopes to continue to develop her understanding of traumatic stress, resiliency, and suicide. Her long-term goal is to earn a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
