Julia is a Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS). She graduated from Brown University in May 2019 with an Sc.B. in Psychology. At Brown, Julia worked as a peer mental health advocate with Project LETS, focusing on bereavement, mood disorders, and navigating mental health care systems. She was a research assistant at the Personality Measurement and Development Lab at Washington University in St. Louis where she studied personality and changes in substance use after experiencing a potentially traumatic event. At CSTS, Julia hopes to learn more about military mental health and military family bereavement. She plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
