Jacqueline is a Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS). Jacqueline graduated from the University of Virginia in 2012 with a dual major in foreign affairs and Spanish and a minor in French. She worked in the nonprofit and local government sectors for six years before deciding to change careers to the health sciences. Last year, Jacqueline completed a pre-medical post-baccalaureate program at UVA and earned a university grant to conduct research in Lima, Peru. She partnered with MEDLIFE nonprofit to investigate the diet, lifestyle patterns, and metabolic syndrome of the NGO clients: Andean migrants living in urban shack towns. She looks forward to continuing to explore the field of research and medicine as she considers either a medical or doctoral program in the near future.
