Britany is a Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress. She graduated from the Catholic University of America (CUA) in May 2019 with a BA in Psychology and minors in Studio Art and Theology. During her time at CUA, Britany was an active member of Dr. Brendan Rich’s Child Cognition, Affect, and Behavior Lab (CAB Lab), where she worked on various projects related to understanding and improving resiliency in youth. As an undergraduate she served as an intern at various organizations, including the SCORE clinic at Children’s National and The Viva Center, where she became interested in learning about and understanding trauma. In addition, Britany completed her senior capstone project on school shootings, furthering her interests in understanding trauma and firearms. Through her position at CSTS, Britany hopes to continue to develop her understanding of traumatic stress, firearms, and resiliency. In the future she hopes to earn a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
