Stigma and Barriers to Care: Caring for Those Exposed to War, Disaster and Terrorism

The Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress hosted a conference, Stigma and Barriers to Care: Caring for Those Exposed to War, Disaster and Terrorism from 24-26 March 2010. National and international leaders discussed and developed a set of recommendations in the areas of education, training, leadership and research that can help overcome the stigma and barriers to care for populations exposed to war, disaster and terrorism. The conference was the first in a planned series that is part of the Forum on Health and National Security.
